I just spent the last week at two crafts festivals. To be juried into these festivals, these artists must be at the pinnacle of their careers. There is nothing visibly remarkable about these people, no indication that they are stellar crafts people. But the beauty of their work is breathtaking: furniture, quilts, jewelry, ceramics, and more. Some of these pieces took a lifetime to perfect and are so unusual.
